Volunteering Schemes

Our Compliance Director Robert Briggs has twenty years experience of volunteering with the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI). He appreciates that it’s not just about the difference that volunteers can make to other peoples lives, the volunteer gets a lot out of the experience as well.

In 2003 he introduced a scheme so that people could volunteer to help their local Trading Standards Service. This provided an unprecedented understanding of the needs and views of the local communities. It significantly improved the quality of intervention activity as the service was able to focus on the things that mattered most to the community. This, in turn, enhanced the services reputation and interaction with hard to reach groups.

If you are considering a volunteering scheme in your area, please get in touch for an informal discussion.
